As a veterinarian in Calgary, I perform many travel health exams and fill out the necessary paperwork for international travel. Each country has unique requirements for importing pets and it can become confusing for us as well as for pet-owners.  We were excited to help this lovely family getting their new Gt. Pryenees puppy Adele from Geraldine in Okotoks to Patrick and his family in Montreal and this beautiful picture speaks for itself when you see how happy Adele is in her new home with her new family. Kids and dogs seem to have such great connections and love. 

 Sevenoaks recently had the pleasure of working with Afnaan and his family to transport, Spike, to the US from Calgary by ground transport as the weather was too cold to transport her by air..

After talking about lending my friend in New Zealand one of my male Lakeland Terriers for a year, considering the requirements for shipping to a rabies free country, and looking at my schedule, I decided that I needed help.  I phoned an acquaintance that imports and exports dogs and asked who she would recommend to help me.  She recommended Hilary Oakes of Sevenoaks Animal Logistics.  I have been very pleased with the assistance and hand holding when required to get my boy safely to New Zealand.  I must admit that I was a little flippant at first about the timing and importance of all the blood work, shots etc.,  thinking that it can’t be that sticky considering we don’t have most of these diseases in Alberta.  In fact if I had not followed the schedule Hilary provided to a tee, my dog would not have been admitted to New Zealand.  Hilary prepared a schedule with everything itemized and timed and gave me reminders as each date approached.  Her guidance helped us to ship my dog without any problems and for that I am truly grateful.  In a year’s time we will go through this all again to bring him home.  I highly recommend Hilary’s expertise.

 Please say Hi to Amato which in Italian means Beloved! Karen and I gave him that name because he was far from being loved and far from being lovely. He snarled and bit at anyone near him. MSCA National Maremma Rescue Network was contacted telling them there was a Maremma cross in dire need of rescue. Now I want to point out that Morinville, Alberta Canada is past Edmonton … but that has never stopped Karen O Brien Maynard & Randy Maynard the Heroes of this story! They got in contact with one of the best and most qualified transports who transports animals all over the world. Les Oaks is one of sweetest kindest people that you ever want to trust any animal with. Well I digress ….. Les kept us updated every step of the way. Ami arrived here on a very cold Minnesota day at the end of a catch pole. It took a lot of prayers and trust on both sides to get him to where he is now. As I was working with Ami through his problems I kept thinking that we all need a chance at a second chance sometime and boy the Good Lord sure gave me mine ! Amato "OUR BELOVED" was only a promise of being that one day …. but now he is one of the Best LGDs on Our Farm !

These lab puppies were getting special attention at the border on entry into Canada for their new owners.

We would love to welcome to Canada our new four legged Canadian Citizen Sr. Borges who arrived in Edmonton this morning after his long trip from the UK. Welcome to Canada Sr.Borges and thank you Natalia and Gustavo for letting us help you with the Canadian portion of Sr. Borges travel.

We were very worried about bringing Sr Borges, our English Bulldog, from the UK to Edmonton. Thanks to Sevenoaks Animal Logistics he’s well and happy with us in Edmonton! Great assistance, helped with clearing any complications and always extremely polite. If you need someone to relocate your pet, they are the right people to do it. 

 Meet Rambo and Rogue who after their long trip to Dublin are now safe and sound in their new home. They look super comfy taking up the biggest part of the sofa and very relaxed after their long trip. Thank you so much Erynn and Oli for trusting us to move your special friends from Edmonton to Dublin 

 After her long journey from Edmonton, Coco our pretty Labrador mix arrived safely in Bahrain on Wednesday and is now very content with Trevor her Dad until her Mom arrives in a couple of weeks. 

Louie is a very pretty African Grey Parrot that we helped move from Bahrain to Canada for his owner David Wynne.

 Two very happy feline customers - Molly and Tommen made it to their new home in Saskatoon and have settled in beautifully. We couldn’t have done it without Sevenoaks and Hilary was the friendliest, nicest cat ambassador/mama/wrangler we could have asked for! Thanks so much!

You did not only a professional job arranging Layla's trip and her customs clearance but you cared and treated beyond professional just like trusted family or friends. You made the long exhausting trip much better for our little Afghan hound girl Layla and saw to it that we got updates at any time, as well as you soothed our nerves greatly with explaining all procedures so well to us and resolving any problems fast , as we didn't have much time to plan the whole trip..  Hobnob stayed with use until he could travel to the UK to be reunited with his owners. 

 Owen and Jen were happy to be reunited with Reilly. Due to a heat embargo Reilly could not travel cargo from Calgary to Houston therefore Reilly was escorted by Les and flew in the cabin. For those difficult relocations Sevenoaks goes above and beyond to look after your pet. Good luck Reilly in your new home in Houston 

 Steve is an Abyssinian Cat who stayed at Beinnein Kennels for several months before he could be reunited with his owner in Australia. 

 Victoria, (Tori) came to Canada from Germany early in April of this year to her new home with Doug Fisher and to become a show dog in Canada handled by Michelle Gaudet. Here are pictures of her Victoria "then" and Tori now!!! 

 Here are some pictures of Bootz a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog that we shipped from Edmonton to Munich, where she joined a family who already owned other Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs. It looks to me like she had no problems fitting in with this Catahoula family 

 Thanks to Hilary and Les, we were able to unite our Smooth Fox Terrier puppy, Walker, with an incredible home in New York. There were a couple bumps in the road that they were on top of swiftly to iron out. He arrived last night to a very very excited owner and without these great people, it never would have happened. Highly recommend Sevenoaks Animal Logistics, and I will absolutely use these services in the future should the need arise again! 

 Moving from Edmonton to Ireland with our dog Rider, and after hitting a few brick walls we came across Hillary at Sevenoaks, so glad we did, she made the process seamless and everything went so smoothly, highly recommend it! 

Hilary helped us move our dog Momo from Calgary to London Gatwick. Hilary was extremely helpful with the move. We had a few hiccups along the way and everytime Hilary made sure everything was sorted and set straight before I even had time to stress too much about it. Moving to another country is stressful enough and then to add the extra work with moving a pet seemed impossible. I am SO glad I chose Seven Oaks to help us with the process. Thank you again Hilary and Les for taking such good care of us.
